Welcome to Diamond D Horses!

Our family is made up of Sammy, Anna (our daughter) and Melissa Drinkard. My husband and I have been around horses since we were born and love to raise them. After graduating from Oklahoma State University, we were married on May 21, 2005.

We are located in the Southeastern corner of Oklahoma in Hugo, Oklahoma. Hugo is 150 miles South of Tulsa, 200 miles Southeast of Oklahoma City, and 120 miles Northeast of Dallas, TX.

We have been trying to improve our herd by purchasing really nice AQHA registered mares that we can afford. Currently we have around 21 head of really nice registered quarter horse brood mares that are being exposed to our stallion, Freckles Meradalena, for 2009 foals. Our bloodlines consist of Doc Bar, Colonel Freckles, Freckles Playboy, Doc O Lena, Smart Little Pistol, Docs Hickory, Docs Prescription, Smart Little Lena, Smart Peppy Doc, Two Eyed Jack, Bob Acre Doc and numerous others. We now have an own daughter of Smart Little Pistol added to the herd.

One of our our newest additions is Boon Light Playgirl, a daughter of Boonlight Dancer that will be bred to Peppy From Heaven for 2009 Foal. UPDATE vet checked in foal.

We have gotten our new house, but working on getting an arena built and our barn going. Our place is under construction, but everything takes time and money. Maybe we will have both sometime soon.
