Diamond D Horses Freckles MeradalenaText Box: “Freckles” is a great asset to our breeding program. We bought him at the Triangle Sale in Shawnee as an 18 month old colt from Steve Miles. He was rode in the ring, but we purchased him to become a part of our breeding program. 2008 was “Freckles” first major foal crop and he seems to have done an excellent job. We had color, quality, conformation, pedigree, and success selling his foals. In 2009 “Freckles” had a wonderful crop of foals. “Freckles” is the kind of stallion that you can walk out in the pasture and pet all over him with the mares standing next to him. He has been the baby sitter for the weanling babies. Then he loves giving Anna “sugar”. Sorry, we are not set up to breed outside mares to “Freckles”, but we are selling some mares that are bred to him. SIZE: Freckles is still growing. He is about 15 hands and weigh close to 1100 lbs.
